Teaching Puppy Life Skills
Our puppy training sessions will teach your new puppy essential life skills at the start of their life. Classes can be provided either in the comfort of your own home/garden or out and about in the real world. Ideally I would suggest a combination of both settings as their training progresses.
I can provide the training either as a one-off session for general advice and problem solving or as a course over the duration of 4 or 6 classes. Each session is tailored to your puppy's individual needs, working on any specific issues they may be experiencing.
Effective Puppy Training
One-to-one puppy training can support a puppy who may show some worry or fear around certain situations. I am able to cater for exactly what your puppy needs, rather than within group environment where the instruction is more generic and can be more formal, rigid or scary.
Sometimes in a class environment young puppies have so much excitement around food, scents, other dogs or people that it can be overwhelming for them and their guardians. One-to-one classes avoid this and I believe both you and your puppy will learn more skills outside of this environment.
Puppy Social Walk Club
For puppies aged 8 weeks up to 6 months, our Social Walk Club provides training, support and guidance from puppy age through to the start of their early adolescence. Subjects we cover include crate and toilet training, mouthing, chewing, equipment, socialising safely, learning to focus, basic training cues, handling and visiting vets.
The Club complements any of the one-to-one puppy classes that I run but will also be beneficial if you are training with other local trainers, or training your puppy on your own. You will meet others going through similar experiences and your puppies can learn how to play safely together. The cost is £20.00 per session (1 hour) and the group size is for up to 4 guardians. We walk in quiet locations around Aylesbury and walks are weather dependent.
